Regretfuly I won't be there this year. Can't get away. But SOMEBODY needs to pick up a roll of duct tape for the Slow Race. Cheers

We made it in last evening. I wasn't feeling well after the drive so I didn't make rounds to catch up with everyone and ended up turning in after dinner.

Ready to get the party started today though!!!

It was an amazing meet this year, and best I can tell everyone arrived home safely.

Brenden slayed the dragon on the General Weeee (nighthawk 250) that he rebuilt from the ground up.

Rafting trip was definitely interesting.

roads were amazing! the company was even more amazing!

surprise visits from Sharon, Adam, Cam and Laura!

only incidents this year were my bike falling off the trailer, due to a strap that snapped. (the whole group scrambled to find me the clipon tube and choke assembly, Karl for the win!) and Ken having his phone stolen from the overlook.

until next year!

Good job, man! Sux about the bike damage and stolen phone, but that's pretty slight for a group weekend.
Brenden's bike looks great! Sounds like it did well.

Nice photo.

Oshkosh Airventure was pretty awesome.

Saw a lot of amazing planes and talked to a lot of people. some crazy, some great.

The Thurs(wed) nite airshow was pretty spectacular.

Its so hot here now, I cant ride anything, 100F today.

It sure has been hot. I've got my boat project done, but it's too hot to enjoy being out in the sunshine. I'd love to see Oshkosh one year. I don't fly (yet) but it's always been a strong interest.

We arrived Sunday about 11am, and setup the booth. And stayed all week.

Lessons:
Go early, mon, tues, wed + wed nite airshow is the highlights.
If you camp or RV in I think you can get in the thurs before the show....not sure.
Fri people start leaving in their planes. Sat is locals and kinda quiet, Sunday I even saw vendors packing up and leaving(they arent supposed to do that before 4pm)
Go online and get the events listings, theres a thousand events each day, some repeat, some do not.
Get the AirVenture app, so you will have stuff on your phone, maps, events, etc.
They print a newspaper each morning with stories and lists of events, we got one each day in our booth, I assume visitors could get one somewhere too.

Its a long ass drive from Alabama, 14hrs in a transit van loaded down, tho the tunes and friends were good.

After each day, the bourbon and vodka was good too.
